Cafcass sees a rise in care application statistics from 2019 figures

Cafcass has updated its monthly statistics showing a 7.5% rise in the number of public law cases received and a 5.7% increase in the number of children involved for September, compared to the previous year.

Cafcass sees a rise in care application statistics from 2019 figures

The Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service’s latest statistics update showed that they received 1,499 new public law cases in 2020, up from 1,395 in the same period in 2019.

They also showed an increase in the number of children in those cases, rising to 2,335 in 2020 from 2,210 in the previous year.
