Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and The Bridge Renewal Trust are working in partnership to encourage service users at risk of admission, or needing support following admission, to come and join a variety of groups and activities with a view to supporting them through a difficult time.

The Bridge Renewal Trust was set up in 2009 to develop and deliver practical ways that local people can live healthier lives - thus contributing to reducing health inequalities.

The Tottenham Talking project aims to engage service users in a range of therapeutic group activities including art, drama, talking therapy, poetry, creative writing, dance, yoga and Zumba. Other activities include cooking, physical activities including using the outdoor gym, walking, games, films, comedy, bingo, arts and crafts and drumming.

Do you have your own personal lived experience of recovery from mental health challenges? We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are willing to positively share their personal experiences and skills with others in order to support clients in their journey of recovery.

We are currently recruiting Peer Support Workers who will be responsible for engaging and supporting service users to develop their skills and confidence to participate in weekly programme of activities. You will plan and deliver activity sessions for service users in one or more areas of the following: healthy cooking, gardening, physical exercises, creative art sessions and employability support.

We are looking for someone who: can establish supportive and respectful relationships with service users, deliver weekly programme of activities in one more of the key areas of activities, and able to communicate effectively with audiences from diverse backgrounds.

This is a unique opportunity to join a progressive organisation where we value and reward the performance of our staff. We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.
