Social Worker

Band 6 – Full Time Permanent Position available

We are delighted to advertise the new role of Social Worker in our newly formed Mental Health Recovery Service.

The service launched in April this year and aims at working with people with some of the most complex mental health needs on the Isle of Wight.

This opportunity will give you the chance to be part of the continued development of the service. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary service comprising of support workers, peer workers, registered mental health practitioners, occupational therapists, consultant nurse, psychiatry & psychology staff.

The service will maintain a socially and psychologically informed approach to the support and care that is provided. This role will be unique with strong links to local authority Adult Social Care colleagues enabling you to maintain professional links through combined supervision processes.

The post will offer the opportunity to further train as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). This will carry the expectation of working within the Island wide AMHP rota which will further enhance the working relationships and outcomes for the cohort of people whom we serve.
