An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager to lead on the Essex-wide implementation of the national Changing Futures pilot. We have services across Essex and the location is flexible. You will play a key role in driving system wide change across the whole County, as well as improving outcomes, not just for service users on our current caseload, but for all individuals who may experience multiple needs in the future. The Systems Change Lead will work with partner organisations to adapt and change their response to people with multiple disadvantage and put localised systems in place to support them to achieve more positive outcomes.

This role has become available due to Phoenix Futures (in partnership with Essex County Council) gaining additional funding through the national Changing Futures pilot. Changing Futures is a £64 million, 3-year long programme, joint-funded between Government and The National Lottery Community Fund. Changing Futures aims to change systems and improve services for people who experience multiple disadvantage, including a combination of three or more of homelessness, substance misuse, poor mental health, domestic abuse and / or contact with the criminal justice system.  Most of these people will not be known to services or not been known in a positive or constructive way. The programme seeks to fill the gaps between services and improve the way local systems work together to support these complex individuals.

We are looking for an individual who has extensive experience of managing services and/or teams within the Health & Social care field. The successful applicant will be driven and service user focused, and will represent the values of Phoenix Futures across the treatment system to provide a clear vision and role-modelling of how to effectively work with this client group.

If you join us you will:

Access a range of learning and development opportunities to support your personal and professional development with opportunities for development within the organisation.
Significantly improve the lives of individuals with complex and additional needs across Essex within the prison setting.
