We have an exciting opportunities for an experienced Social Worker to join us in delivering high quality community mental health care within the South West of Hertfordshire.

Our services cover the localities of Three Rivers and Watford. We are a large multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team serving the needs of people within these diverse localities.

The area is well served with transport links to historic Hertfordshire and its glorious countryside as well as into London and beyond.

You will be joining an established Social Work team of 6 registered Social workers and an Senior Social Worker

You may be an experienced Social Worker already working in another area and seeking a change in direction in your career or be a Band 5 Social Worker with at least 12 months experience and wish to progress in your career.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Social Worker who hold a strong belief in recovery for people with severe and enduring mental health problems.

Our Community Mental Health Social Workers hold a caseload and undertake the role of care coordinator for those with varied complex mental health and social care needs.

You will also provide assessment and specific interventions to meet the needs of service users, their carers and families.

It is expected that you will be a flexible practitioner who enjoys new challenges in meeting the developing needs of the service and our service users.

An excellent understanding of the issues people with mental health needs may experience is essential for this post as is a good understanding of Care Programme Approach, Care Management, Connected Lives and Safeguarding. You will carry out interventions to a standard that ensures safe and effective care and complies with the HCPC code.
