We are looking for a range of social work professionals with a variety of skills and experiences. Whether you enjoy duty, long term assessment or D2A work, etc – we want to hear from you.

About the role:

As part of our greener future strategies and our commitment to creating a healthy work-life balance, we welcome a conversation with you regarding our remote working options. Remote working to us is a balance of spending time in our communities, our offices and working remotely from home or wherever works best.

We provide hybrid devices that allow staff to work in an agile way.

We are currently investing in and building a workforce that can proactively meet the demands and challenges facing Adult Social Care.

For these roles you will need to have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). We recognise there will be exceptions to this so please speak to us if you are in any doubt.

Our job profiles will tell you what you'll be doing, but more important to us, is how you'll do it. We are looking for people who will thrive in the culture of our organisation.

Aspects of the role, we can train and guide you on, but what we are really looking for is someone with the right values and behaviours who can join our journey on improving the lives of vulnerable people in Surrey.

We are looking for social workers who believe it is important to ensure people have choice and control over their own support needs. We want people who are committed, like us, to focus on the person, their strengths and networks rather than routinely assessing people for services and eligibility. We want colleagues who will look first at what people can do rather than what they can't do and have conversations, that identify what is important to the person, 'what matters' rather than 'what's the matter'. We believe that by exploring people's goals and aspirations, and the strengths they have themselves or around them, we can help people to stay independent for longer and connected to their communities.

If you hold the same values and ethos as we do, please come and join up and help us continue to develop our strength-based practice model.

From speaking to staff at workshops and engagement sessions, we learnt that career development is of huge importance to our current social workers. One step we have taken to help address is to develop a 'Senior Readiness Program'. This program is designed to support social workers to develop their skills and experience so that they can progress to become a Senior Social Worker.

Who we are looking for:

- Social Workers – salary range £35,382 to £39,246
- Senior Social Workers – salary range £40,227 to £44,619

We have roles based in community (locality teams) and hospital teams as well as specialist teams such as our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), Continuing Health Care (CHC) teams. Please ask us for further details.

We have locality (community) teams based in the following towns: Guildford, Godalming, Woking, Addlestone, Ashford, Epsom, Esher, Dorking, Reigate and Oxted and Camberley.

We have hospital teams in: Guildford, Frimley, Chertsey, Epsom, and Redhill.
