Adoption Social Worker

An exciting opportunity has become available at Barnardo's' Fostering and Adoption North East Family Placement. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate social worker to join our team. This is a 6 month contract to cover maternity leave, with the possibility of being extended.

The successful candidate will ideally have some family placement experience though not essential. You will primarily be responsible for assessing and supporting adopters and their children, with a therapeutic approach.

Whilst there is an office space where this team is based, we are working with a hybrid approach where you will work a combination of working from home and at the office.

The team covers a 60 mile radius therefore there will be required travel for face to face visits to families and prospective adopters across the region.
