This is an exciting opportunity to lead, develop and manage three family support services and play a pivotal role in increasing our ambition ‘to achieve better outcomes for more children' while delivering on the Promise.

Edinburgh Positive Wellbeing Service provides a range of supports to children and young people aged 5 to 24 who are affected by the imprisonment of a family member. The service aims to improve mental health and wellbeing and reduce the impact of distress and stigma.

Edinburgh Together is currently a referred intensive whole family support service targeting children and young people most at risk of experiences known to have a sustained impact on wellbeing.

We are looking for a highly motivated, well organised individual with extensive family support experience in a managerial role who has:

- A relevant professional and managerial qualification and a minimum of two years managerial experience.

And who can:

- Balance the conflicting demands of leading, developing and managing multiple services, including budgets and finance.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of Child Protection and Safeguarding.
- Demonstrate effective leadership and ability to adapt, manage and lead through change.
- Evidence effective partnership working and collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate their ability to set service and individual objectives with a focus on best practice and continual service improvement.

If you would like to discuss the post and services further, please contact Faith Watson, Assistant Director of Children's Service's South East Locality on faith.watson@barnardos.org.uk to arrange an informal chat.
