Compass Jobs Fair Events Staff

Are you interested in working as part of the team hosting this year’s largest recruitment and resourcing event for the social work sector? Compass Jobs Fairs are looking to hire staff to help in preparing and hosting three of our events across the U.K this year.
Are you a proactive, engaging and practical person with an interest in the events or social work sector? Working at a Compass Jobs Fair provides you with the opportunity not only to work as part of the team providing the highest standard of event but also to meet and work with a range of employers and experts from throughout the world of social work and social care.

Compass Jobs Fairs offer an opportunity for recruitment and networking within for social work and social care local authorities, charities, private organisations and professional individuals. This is provided through an exhibition hall in which exhibitors can engage with visitors from their stands. We also run a packed seminar programme and Social Work Cinema as well as hosting a networking drinks for exhibitors and providing CPD certification for visitors.

Your role will include arriving with the rest of the Compass team the day prior to the event and assisting out exhibitors in setting up their stands and undertaking general tasks in order to prepare the venue for a successful event. On the day of the Jobs fair you will assist in welcoming visitors, problem solving for our exhibitors and representing Compass as you host one of 2023’s most successful social wok events.

Although no prior experience in the events industry is essential, it is important that you have effective communication skills, a positive and proactive attitude, hard work ethic and an ability to adapt to a variety of tasks at a high standard. This role would be perfect for anyone looking to make links in the Social Work sector or to gain experience in the events industry. We welcome applications from students; however, you must be over 18 to apply.

This year we are looking for staff at the following events- availability required the day of the event:
Birmingham Compass Jobs Fair 20th March @ Birmingham Conference & Events Centre
The Social Work Show (Manchester) 2nd October @ The Deansgate Hilton
London Compass Jobs Fair 20th November @ The Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square

It is preferable that you would be available for all three events, however the right applicant would be considered for just one or two of our events.
