We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Team Manager to join our Fostering Recruitment Team on a permanent basis.
About the team
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, supportive, friendly team currently based in the centre of Gloucester. The Fostering Recruitment Team work together towards the common goal of ensuring children are safe, and cared for when they are unable to live with their own family. The team work with the marketing team and social workers to identify and assess prospective foster carers who have space in their home and heart to care for a child who needs them.
About you
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Deputy Team Manager or Social Worker who can help lead and shape the team and is ready to take the next step.
You will need to be passionate about getting the best outcomes for children, be able to give attention to detail, to deal with competing demands and priorities and be able to influence others and embed good practice.
Your role will involve allocating work, supervising and supporting staff as well as quality-assuring team members’ work and monitoring data.
If, like us, you are committed to doing what is right for children and ideally have experience of supervising others, safeguarding and excellent assessment skills, we would be pleased to hear from you.
This is an excellent chance to learn and develop personally and professionally and to be involved with taking the service forward.
As well as your experience you will need:
- Social Work England registration
- a recognised qualification in Social Work
- a good knowledge of a range of legislative frameworks covering Fostering and children in care
- to have completed your ASYE year (if you qualified after 2012)
- a full driving licence and willingness to drive.
- DBS clearance
