A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our highly successful, passionate, and driven Practice Service and Development Team, as our Family Services Manager. You will manage the delivery and development of all Family Hub services for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.
Accessed through the Helpline or via contact with one of our project outreach workers, the Family Hub offers a range of support and information to families including a Helpline, access to grants, signposting to children’s palliative care, online peer support and opportunities to share their experience through research, awareness raising and fundraising campaigns. This is a key role to help us deliver out strategy and realise our ambition of ensuring more families are able to access the support they need.
About you
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated individual who has the ability to communicate and engage confidently and professionally with families, colleagues and professionals. Adhering to policies and guidelines, you will ensure that we continue to deliver a safe and quality offer to families. Working for a national charity you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in children’s palliative care and help to improve the quality of lives for children with palliative care needs, and their families. Being collaborative, creative, and solution-focused will come naturally to you and you will help the team drive forward projects to deliver tangible change for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

About us
Together for Short Lives is the UK charity to make sure the 99,000 seriously ill children and their families can make the most of every moment they have together – whether that’s for years, months or only hours. We work with families and the brilliant people and services that support them – in hospitals, in children’s hospices and in the community – to ensure that children and families get the support they need.
For an informal and confidential discussion about the role, please email amanda.whateley@togetherforshortlives to arrange a convenient time.
We offer a great reward package, which includes generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, life insurance and a staff assistance programme.
We are always looking for talented people, and welcome people regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief and sexual orientation. We particularly encourage applications from those with disabilities or from black and minority ethnic backgrounds, as these groups are underrepresented throughout the charity sector.
