Why Action for Children?

At Action for Children, we pride ourselves in being collaborative and inclusive. Are you passionate about changing the lives of children and young people to give them the best possible future?
A bit about the role:
Action for Children Bath West Children's Centre Services provides group and individual support for children under 5 and their families in the Twerton and Moorlands areas of Bath. As a Family Support Practitioner, you will be providing sessions to support and build family resilience, promote play and learning as well as support emotional development and wellbeing. The role includes the exciting opportunity to deliver a range of parenting programmes. Previous experience of delivering similar programmes would be an advantage.
How you'll help to create brighter futures.

Attending and participating at relevant multi agency meetings.
Establishing excellent rapports with other professionals and partner agencies to promote a strength – based model.
Let's talk about you.
Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have:
NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent with at least two years post qualifying experience.
Previous experience working closely with local communities, children, and their families.
Experience of delivering parenting programmes is desirable.
A Positive and Caring attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
