School-Home Support has been commissioned to deliver family support work in 10 secondary schools in Bradford. This is an incredibly exciting project that will see us support more young people and their families than ever before in Bradford.
Location: Secondary schools in Bradford.
Hours: 5 days per week term time only – 35 hours per week
Salary: £21,625 – £24,074 per annum (This is the actual salary)

In the first instance this is a Fixed Term contract for 12 months will the possibility of being extended for a further 18 months (performance dependant)
We are looking for 10 Family Support Workers to join our team and to make a difference in children’s lives every single day. As the Family Support Worker, you will work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families we support.
You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality, engagement in learning, improved behaviour in school and the local community as well as improving social and emotional regulation and well-being.
You will have excellent relationship building and communications skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of people.
You’ll have previous experience of:
working and engaging with parents, carers or guardians, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support
working in an educational or outreach environment
working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn
Working with families from diverse communities
Preventing young people from becoming involved in Violence and/or violent crime.
