We are looking for a qualified Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join our very well-established Adult Eating Disorders Service team based at St Marks in Maidenhead. This is a full-time role, although part time applicants may be considered.

Our service provides assessment and treatments for Adults across Berkshire and you will be part of our Outreach team supporting our patients both at home and in clinics in Maidenhead and Reading.

You will have good interpersonal and communication skills as you will be providing motivational and emotional support to a variety of high need clients.

As a service we are very committed to our staff with clear training and opportunities for career development.

Your base will be St Marks in Maidenhead, SL6 6DU (where we offer free parking) but you will also be expected to visit clients in their own home. The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 17:00pm, with some flexibility for homeworking.

Main duties of the job

- Provide clinical care and support to adult patients with eating disorders to help them work towards recover
- To organise and conduct regular care plan reviews for patients
- Communicate effectively with other professionals and teams involved in our patients' care
- To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual patients with the Outreach Team

The 4 "must haves" for you to be considered for this role:

- Professional qualification at Diploma / Degree level in relevant fields
- Full UK driving license with access to vehicle as you will need to visit clients in their homes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A desire to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of life for people with eating disorder

Essential

- Relevant Mental Health Qualification eg. RMN, SROT, Social worker, dietician or other allied health professional

Desirable

- Relevant and recognised specialist post registration training

Continuous Professional Development

- Evidence of on-going professional development

Previous Experience
Desirable

- Recent Clinical Experience
- Experience of working within the context of MDT care
- Experience in Eating Disorders
- Experience of clinically supervising junior staff

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Essential

- Case Management skills, or willingness to develop
- Recent clinical experience in Eating Disorders

Desirable

- Specialist knowledge of current DOH documents/government legislation and recommendations e.g. National Service Frameworks , NICE guidelines
- Willingness to undertake further training and develop expertise in agreed areas

Additional Requirements
Essential

- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour and or conflict with patients
- Driving licence and access to vehicle in work hours

Desirable

- Ability to demonstrate recent innovative practice and service development
