You will deliver Structure Clinical Management (SCM) to a caseload of service users within the community setting in your locality.

Working for our organisation

SCM is recognised as the gold standard of care for people with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). It is evidenced based and recommended in NICE guidelines. SCM has been selected by the trust as the approach to implement within the personality disorder pathway. As part of the Long Term Plan and the transformation of care for services users with serious mental illness, widening access to an evidence base model of care is a national priority. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop specific skills in line with evidence based treatment and be involved in providing support for service user’s to recover, develop autonomy and no longer require secondary mental health services. Your input will enable service users to reach optimum recovery and reduce the need for emergency services and hospital admission.

As well as direct face to face contact with the service user, and group work, it is expected that the post holder will be able to engage with the wider community system (A&E, police, inpatient and community settings) and support them to deliver evidence based practice. It is expected that you will be able travel across Lancashire to meet the needs of the service, however you will be aligned to a CMHT within localities.
