We deliver specialist supported accommodation where young people are supported to acquire the necessary skills in preparation for living independently, safely exploring their increased freedom of choice and develop responsibilities associated with adulthood, whilst still having the appropriate level of support from an experienced team. In this varied role, you will be responsible for:

Service Provision: Responsible for the daily operations of the services so that they meet the requirements of the service specification, and reflect Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices.

Leadership & People Management: Lead and support your team to achieve their potential through regular staff one-to-ones, reflective practice and team meetings. Ensure the team is adequately trained and empowered to work effectively and creatively with our young people to enable them to achieve their aspirations and ambitions.

Partnerships: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other services, stakeholders and commissioners to provide high quality support, manage risks, support service funding. Attend relevant multi-disciplinary meetings as needed.

General: Plan your team's rota, taking training and absence into account to ensure capacity within the team to support clients. Promote best practice with adhering to DLG policies and procedures (including Safeguarding, Data Protection and Equality and Diversity) and abide by the Code of Conduct. Be a member of the ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality.

We are looking for someone experience of managing supported housing for young people and/or adults at risk, plus experience of overseeing and reporting on all aspects of housing management, including contract compliance, maintenance and health & safety. You will have significant experience of leading teams including recruiting and training staff, you will not be afraid to challenge poor practice and you will take steps to support staff in delivering excellent practice. In addition, you will be flexible, with the ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking and dealing with competing priorities.
