This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our Stabilisation Team where you will find yourself primarily working with people with emotionally unstable personality disorder.

We welcome qualified Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Social Workers to apply for this band 6 opportunity.

You will be joining a small, progressive team comprising of a qualified social worker, mental health nurse and a Clinical Psychologist. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dynamic professional who is genuinely interested in working with individuals who experience emotional instability (e.g., EUPD). We require a reflective practitioner, who is compassionate and considerate towards others and able to work with positive risk for the benefit of individuals.

Interviews to be held 20th September 2022

o To reduce readmission to inpatient services following ASSIST intervention
o To identify treatment needs and refer within the EUPD pathway as necessary or wider services

• Community based, working with individuals with an EUPD diagnosis/emotion dysregulation
• Offer short-term (up to 12 weeks) intensive individual psychologically informed interventions for stabilisation
• Flexibility to be eclectic in interventions
• Collaborative approach based on the individuals needs and priorities towards a life worth living
• Contribute towards the psychological formulation of the individual
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and other teams to manage risk in a positive and inclusive way
• Supervision of junior staff within a multidisciplinary team
• Monthly individual supervision offered as a minimum with an identified supervisor

The 4 “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:

1. An interest and enthusiasm to work with individuals who have a diagnosis of EUPD/emotion dysregulation
2. Degree level Professional qualification (Nurse, Occupational Therapy, Social worker and current professional registration)
3. Minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience of working with adults with mental health problems
4. Car driver & possess full UK driver’s license or evidence of ability to travel to designated base & other sites; ability to travel independently between multiple sites to fulfil the requirements of the position
