We work closely with internal teams, Bristol City Council Homeless Prevention Team and relevant outreach and external partners. Offering clients two year fixed term tenancies at affordable rent levels (80% of market), whilst providing continued support in their own homes to work towards independent living.
In the role of Senior Support Worker, you will support the day to day running of the service and continue to develop best practice.
You will oversee a caseload of client’s and provide quality support and well-being plans to people experiencing homelessness which support their individual needs including complex needs, substance misuse problems or dual diagnosis.
You will prepare and facilitate group and 1-1 sessions to increase client readiness for move on and seek to utilise client feedback to ensure support delivered across the service is appropriate to their needs, enables them to realise their aspirations, achieve future independent living and increase resilience to homelessness.
You will have the opportunity to promote and develop the wider understanding of our supported Move On model with internal colleagues, external partners and the local commissioners.
About you
We are looking for someone who has experience in a support role and some experience of working with people who have complex needs.
You will bring innovation and creativity to developing best practice approaches for how the service prepares clients for independent living in the wider community.
you will demonstrate knowledge of the services which are available to people who have substance misuse problems, and an understanding of the Care Assessment process.
You will have the ability to support colleagues both formally and informally to deal with complex client situations,
You will bring a passion for the Move On service and be dedicated to the vision and values of the service.
