The Role:
Within our Adults’ Community Teams, we’re investing in creating the right conditions to ensure our Social Workers can work flexibly and are given the capacity to provide the excellent level of support and attention needed, to make a real difference to the lives of the people in our community. Joining our Learning Disabilities Team as a Qualified Social Worker, you’ll be innovative, person-centred and committed to working with adults in a strengths-based way. You’ll use your excellent relationship management skills to collaborate and negotiate with service users, their families, providers and other health care professionals, to proactively encourage independent and safe living within the community.

Whether you’re an experienced Social Worker, looking to stretch yourself and take on a new challenge, returning to Social Work after a break, or recently qualified looking to kickstart your career, we would love to hear from you. Our newly qualified Social Workers are paid at £32,026 per annum, pro rata for the first year of employment.

We understand the demands and emotional challenges of the job and provide our teams with a safe and supportive working environment, offering regular supervision, mentoring and Continuous Professional Development opportunities, alongside a competitive benefits package.

This role is based in our North West Learning Disability Team, Eastleigh. We support flexible, smart working and staff are encouraged to work from home and use drop-in facilities in offices and local community resources, such as libraries


Travel Requirements

You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire (or other local authority) and it is essential that you have a current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
