We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for working with adults with sensory needs, understanding their aspirations, supporting them to enhance their quality of life and to promote independence.

We want to hear from experienced and newly qualified Social Work practitioners who are committed to person-centred and strengths-based social work, are enthusiastic about effective integrated working and ready for change.

You will be responsible for carrying out Social Work duties, requiring the highest level of skill, knowledge and professional expertise. You will assist the Team Manager in ensuring the delivery of effective, safe integrated services for adults with sensory needs, through the promotion of high standards of practice in person-centred assessments, strengths-based support planning and being creative to meet individual outcomes.

Salford Care Organisation is part of the Northern Care Alliance, one of the largest NHS organisations in the country. A place with an outstanding reputation. Salford is the place which is taking bold, pioneering steps towards delivering a world class, fully integrated care system for adults. Twice rated Outstanding by the CQC, Salford Care Organisation is responsible for delivering a range of community and primary care services and specialist services to Greater Manchester and beyond.

We are committed to supporting the recruitment and retention of our Social Work staff. It is recognised by the Trust that many experienced Social Work staff are currently likely to be employed by local government organisations, and to ensure there is clarity over terms and conditions of employment we offer NJC Pay Scales to Social Workers we appoint, rather than NHS pay-scales.

To read more information about the advertised role, and the main job duties/responsibilities please open the Job Description and Person Specification located under the supporting documents heading. You can also read more information about working at the Northern Care Alliance within the attached Candidate Information Pack or by visiting our careers

In line with the Trust’s Single Equality Scheme we welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, religion, marital status, social back ground or trade union membership. However, as members of ethnicity minority groups and individuals with disabilities are currently under-represented at this level of post, we would encourage applications from members of these groups. Appointment will be based on merit alone.

As a Social Worker you will be employed by Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. However, continuous previous service can be considered at the discretion of the Trust. Continuous service with a non-NHS organisation, such as a local authority, may be recognised for annual leave and sick-pay entitlement and pension scheme. The Trust will obtain continuous service information from newly appointed Social Workers in order to ensure this is considered.
