We are currently looking for a qualified social worker to join our team.

The role

This role is for a qualified Social Worker for 28 hours per week and falls under the hybrid-variable category. This will include blended home based and office-based working at the Christie and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospitals to provide support to children and young people (0-25 years) diagnosed with cancer and leukaemia and their families. You will have the opportunity to work remotely / from home within the parameters of our hybrid working arrangements, with 1 or 2 days a week in the office.

Interviews will be held week commencing 7th November 2022.
About you

As well as a current Social Work England registration, you will have:

- A recognised Social work qualification
- Experience working with children, young people and their families/carers in a social care setting.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Knowledge of child and young people development.
- An understanding of the impact of serious illness for children, young people and families.
- All applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills.
- It is desirable that you have experience working in an NHS setting.
