More than 10,000 places have been booked for webinars as part of Social Work Week, regulator Social Work England says.
Social Work Week is a virtual programme of events bringing together social work speakers, artistic content, workshops, debate, discussions, and wellbeing drop-ins.
The week will complement the annual World Social Work Day celebrations on 16 March 2021.
The virtual programme, which is the first of its kind, will offer learning and networking opportunities in more than 70 different sessions.
The event has been organised by Social Work England, the specialist regulator for social workers and social work education providers in England to “look back at social work in England 2020, collaboratively capturing reflections on the impact of significant events on the social work profession and people.”
“We will co-produce a platform for sharing examples of practice innovations, trends, and solutions adopted in social work.”
Social Work England says the online conference will “bring people together to learn, connect, and engage on the values and principles which form the backbone of excellent social work practice.”
“It will provide a space for people to discuss what’s next for social work, explore perspectives on equality, diversity and inclusion and how great social work practice enriches people's lives,” the regulator said.
Social Work England says sessions are booked individually and run for up to an hour, so you can pick and choose from the programme to suit your diary and interests.
