We are developing 4 new children's homes in the East Midlands area - Chesterfield, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire

These new homes will offer long term care for children and young people with one of the homes for children and young people with disabilities while three will provide trauma informed care. The SEMH homes will implement an established model of trauma-informed care, supporting children and young people up to 18 years old.

As Area Manager you will develop, mobilise, and manage these Ofsted registered services. You will manage, recruit, and provide high quality leadership, direction, and support to 4 Registered Managers within these services, ensuring that all quality, safety, budgetary and performance standards are met and sustained.

You will be the responsible individual, working closely with the Registered Managers, local authority placement teams and Ofsted to deliver high quality, safe, stable and loving homes to children and young people.

About You

As the Children's Home Area Manager, you will ideally have:

- The L5 Leadership Qualification or working towards.
- The ability to develop and maintain effective networks, relationships, partnerships, and contacts to improve service and financial outcomes.
- The ability to successfully manage and deliver placement / commissioned services.
- Experience of managing and developing operational services for children, young people and their families, particularly children's homes.
- The ability to lead, motivate and manage a range of social care and support staff.
- The ability to improve service provision through the workforce development, addressing challenges within the management of people and service provision (improving employee performance).
