About Us

We offer warm, family-style homes for children aged 10–18 years, providing individualised care tailored to each child’s needs. Our well-established homes across Coventry are places where children can heal, grow, and feel secure. As our service expands, you could be a key part of this exciting journey.

What is the job role?

As a manager, you will:

-Support your team with training, supervision, and professional development
-Through safer recruitment practices, appoint new carers and assess their performance
-Understand the needs of children, which may involve different complexities and children with disabilities
-Ensure that the voice of the child is heard and respected in service delivery
-Adhere to and implement the relevant policies, procedures, and legislation
-Participate in the development and improvement of the service
-Undertake relevant training and qualifications as required

Please Note: This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Operational Leads to build an effective team and achieve outstanding outcomes for children living within the home.

You will need the ability to use your own initiative, with the expectation being that you drive forward improvements, to exceed the requirements of the Children Homes Regulations (2015) and best practice standards identified within the SCCIF.

You will have a solid understanding of and be an advocate for the principles of diversity and inclusion in relation to workplace culture and service delivery.

We welcome applications from established managers and deputy managers from within children’s residential care who have:

(a) within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children
(b) worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role

Important Information

-Posts: Full time 37hr per week.
-Working patterns: Monday to Friday with an additional requirement to provide on-call cover on a rota basis.
-Right to Work: all candidates must have the correct Right to Work for the role. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
