Family Placement Social Worker

We are pleased to be recruiting for a Family Placement Social Worker within the Barnardo's Scotland Adoption Service. The service is registered with the Care Inspectorate and has recently been inspected and achieved Grades of 5.

We aim to achieve high quality, stable homes for children and young people by robust assessment and support for adopters. Ensuring that adopters are appropriately recruited, assessed, trained, and supported within the required regulations and national minimum standards.

This post is full time, 37 hours post, based in the East and Central Scotland but may cover other areas as necessary within reasonable reach from these areas. We will also consider applications to job share.

There is the option to work from our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices as well as flexibly from home.

You must be Social Work qualified, registered with SSSC and have experience in assessment and working in partnership with other professionals and agencies dealing with a wide range of cases including safeguarding, delivering training, building positive relationships and working as part of a team.
