Are you an experienced social worker who is passionate about achieving outcomes for children? Do you understand the impact of trauma upon adults and children? Do you want the opportunity to work closely alongside families with complex and multiple needs?
If the answers to the above are yes, you may be interested in the exciting opportunity that has arisen to join the Daffodil team.
Daffodil House opened in January 2020. Part of the award-winning charity, Trevi, Daffodil provides residential parenting assessments in cases where there are concerns about a parent’s capacity to keep a child safe.
We are looking for an experienced and confident social worker to join the team. You will hold a case load of 2 -3 families. As a Family Practitioner you will be working with complex families who have suffered trauma. You will be responsible for undertaking a parenting assessment within the timescales directed by the court / local authority. This will include completing risk assessments, placement plans, providing Court evidence, providing educational activities and feedback to support the child’s development and empower the parents to create change that is ‘safe enough parenting’.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience of working within statutory child protection services and is confident operating within the family court arena. You will be focused upon outcomes for children, but able to work compassionately with parents too, many of whom many be fearful and distrustful of professionals.
We are looking for someone who is committed to working from a trauma informed perceptive.
