Join our dynamic team at Stoke on Trent City Council's Small Group Homes and be part of something truly special! This is an incredible opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people across Stoke on Trent, ensuring their safety and well-being while delivering the best outcomes.

We are looking for skilled, experienced staff to work with children and young people across Stoke on Trent to deliver the best outcomes and to keep them safe. Our small group homes are of excellent quality, and we have grand expectations on how we deliver the best care to our children and young people.

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will need to be flexible and dedicated, ready to adapt to the needs of our service with a rotating schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Your commitment is key, including being available for sleep-ins as required.

But fear not! We provide exceptional training and support to all our staff, including a comprehensive induction plan and ongoing supervision. We have a strong underpinning therapeutic framework we have developed with the psychological service we commission to work within our staff teams.

As part of our team, you will have specific and bespoke training from highly qualified psychologists as well as monthly direct consultations and the ability for one-to-one support, guaranteeing you the tools you need to excel in your role.

All our young people would receive a psychological assessment on admission to enable us to build the best care plan for that young person. The safety of all our young people and staff is paramount and we have an experienced service that has evidenced this is of a good standard. We can help the hardest-to-reach children with the right support and strategies, and we are keen to continue to grow and learn.

Amongst the benefits we offer are:

- Up to 40 days holiday (including 8 days bank holidays)

- Option to buy extra annual leave

- High quality reflective supervision

- Health and wellbeing support

- Access to staff equality and diversity networks

If you are ready to bring your skills and experience to a team that values growth, learning, and making a real difference, we want to hear from you!

Apply now and join us in shaping a brighter future for our children and young people.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all our employees and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Please note that if an employee who is currently at risk of redundancy within the organisation applies for this vacancy their application will receive priority. If this happens you will be advised accordingly.
