-Career Growth: As we expand, we offer outstanding opportunities for training, development, and progression within our service.
What Our Children Say
We regularly ask our children how they want to be cared for, and they’ve told us that:
-They want to be truly listened to and respected as individuals
-They want to feel safe in a supportive environment
-They value help to reach their full potential, develop independence, build strong relationships, and stay connected to familiar places and schools.
-Above all, they wish to make lasting, happy memories with caring adults who won’t give up on them.
By joining our team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering exactly what our children have asked for.
What is the job role?
There are 3 key areas of skill essential to this role:
-Overnight carer – Supporting children with disabilities, complex health needs and potential trauma related behaviours, to develop a sleep routine within a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Attending to personal care needs as required. Contribute to individual care planning, ensuring all records are maintained appropriately.
-Relationship builder – Ongoing support through positive relationships and promoting the development of meaningful interaction, guided by the values of child-centred care, respect, dignity, good parenting, independence, fulfilment, and partnership, with the ability to recognise and implement different forms of communication that meet children’s needs.
-Educator - Sharing information with children in an accessible way, empowering them to make informed choices about their care and future.

What matters most is your commitment to improving outcomes and placing children’s needs, happiness, and development at the heart of all you do.
-Understanding and Empathy: You have a genuine understanding of the challenges faced by children who are 'looked after' or require a short break, and you recognise how relationships influence their experiences when entering or leaving care.
-Holistic Approach: You are able to appreciate and respond to each child’s unique needs, delivering support across three key skill areas in a holistic and child-centred way.
-Desirable Skills: Ideally, you are a driver and possess strong computer literacy, enabling you to effectively document and evidence the important work we do.
-Professional Growth: You are committed to ongoing professional development and eager to take advantage of bespoke training opportunities, including support to achieve your Diploma for Residential Childcare if you haven’t already obtained it.
We’re searching for caring, enthusiastic, and committed individuals who always put children first. If you are reflective, flexible, accountable, resilient, and thrive in collaborative, child-centred teams, we would love to hear from you. Join us and help create lasting, positive memories for our children, supporting them to feel safe, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
