Are you an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or qualified care professional looking to return to work? Are you looking for a role which offers flexibility and training? If so, then these opportunities are ideal for you...

We have just been awarded Social Work Employer of the Year 2021, not only that, one of our amazing colleagues also won the Adults Social Worker of the Year! So, we’re keen to continue to build on our success by launching our Return to Work programme designed specifically for experienced and qualified individuals within either Adults or Children & Families social care who are looking to return to the workplace and rebuild their career after an extended career break.

We understand that returning to the workplace may be daunting for some, especially after recent times. That’s why we put our colleague’s wellbeing at the forefront of everything we do! Our opportunities offer the flexibility and culture to allow you to flourish and achieve more - for yourself as well as those you work to support.

As part of the Return to Work programme, we have a dedicated Entry to Work team, whose aim is to provide you with support throughout the recruitment, onboarding and training process.

The support you will receive:

The Entry to Work team will support you during the interview stages by providing advice and guidance on the process to ensure you are confident at every stage.

Once you’ve been offered your new role within ECC, you’ll be invited to our training sessions prior to your start date to ensure you’re confident for your first day with us. Training sessions will include confidence to get back into work, resilience, assertiveness, digital skills, workplace etiquette, building professional identity, creating and sustaining work life balance and many more!

We’ll support you to be to your best, with the resources, training, and development to empower you. You will also be supported by the team with your restoration for SWE or your HCPC. You can add to your expertise, with a range of opportunities offered by our award-winning Essex Social Care Academy. And, with flexible working options and other lifestyle benefits, we’ll enable you to make the most of your life outside work, too.

Whatever you want to achieve in your social care career, you can do it here. So, if you’re a qualified and experienced individual, interested in our Return to Work programme, please apply – we’d love to hear from you!

And to ensure the safety, dignity and quality of life for all the individuals we work with.

To make sure we achieve our goals, we’ve transformed our service to be far more proactive.
