An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Senior Social Worker Practitioner at Pharos, a well-established Barnardo's Children's Service which works with families affected by Parental Substance Misuse.

This is a permanent Full-Time/37 h.p.w. posts working in Belfast and South Eastern Trust areas. Consideration will be given to applicants seeking part time working, contingent on meeting the needs of the service.

The current salary range is £29,206-£35,728 (this is not an incremental scale). This is currently under review with a significant uplift expected from April 2023.

The service is funded by the Public Health Agency, and we work in close partnership with the Health and Social Care Trusts to deliver a range of interventions with children and families.

If you have a desire to work therapeutically with children, young people and families to improve longer term outcomes for children and you are you a qualified (have completed AYE) Social Worker with proven experience of working in a family and childcare setting, then we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for suitably experienced staff who:

- can work effectively as part of a wider team;
- support individuals and families to achieve their potential;
- maintain a strength based approach;
- are committed to ongoing professional development opportunities; and
- can work flexibly to meet the needs of children.

In return Barnardo's offers a reward package that includes a competitive salary, 26 days annual leave and 10 statutory/public holidays (pro-rata) per annum, a contributory pension scheme, an additional holiday purchase scheme and staff discounts.

A waiting list will be compiled for similar vacancies that may become available across Barnardo's NI over the next 12 months. There may also be opportunities for additional hours for fixed term periods.

The successful candidate will also be required to undertake enhanced Child and Adult barred AccessNI check.
