We are looking for a Social Work Manager to join our Adult Protection Gateway Team.
JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will provide management of the Adult Gateway Service according to
policy and the management of social services resources under his/her control.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Service Delivery
1.1 Allocation of work to team members and ensure that this work is carried out in
a professional manner.
1.2 To provide the necessary supervision, on a regular and frequent basis, to
team members with a view to ensuring that high professional standards are
maintained within the team, as well as the professional development of each
team member.
1.3 To supervise professional and other students if required.
1.4 Evaluate staff performance on a regular and frequent basis and take
appropriate action where necessary.
1.5 To keep the Band 8a Manager informed of cases of specific difficulty and any
problems relating to team members.
1.6 Responsibility for carrying out all duties pertaining to current statutory
regulations and Trust Policy in addition to participation in the formation of
Trust Policy.
1.7 Participation in stand-by duty as appropriate.
1.8 To maintain high professional standards at all times.
1.9 In conjunction with the Band 8a Manager, participate in the identification of
social needs in his/her geographical area and in the development of services
to meet his need.
1.10 To liaise with other statutory local community groups, volunteers and
voluntary/organisations and ensure that resources under his/her control are
deployed in the most efficient, effective manner according to Trust policy.
