The National Adoption Service in Wales is a truly collaborative venture with the statutory and voluntary sectors working together to improve the lives of children in adoptive families and others affected by adoption. All key stakeholders are represented on the Combined Governance Board which meets four times a year.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification with knowledge and experience of overseeing the delivery of adoption services at a senior level. The successful person will work with the Director and the other Co-Chair (a local authority Member) to ensure that the Combined Governance Board fulfils its functions as well as undertaking other representative roles for NAS and aRending other meetings.

The appointment will be for a fixed term of three years with the op(on to extend for a further three-year term. Renumeration will be £695 per Board meeting / day to include preparation and post meeting minute checking; the other du(es and tasks will be paid at a pro-rata rate linked to this daily rate.

Mae'r cyd-gadeirydd presennol yn ymddeol, ar ôl bod yn y rôl ers sefydlu’r GMC yn 2014.

Mae’r Gwasanaeth Mabwysiadu Cenedlaethol yng Nghymru yn fenter wirioneddol gydweithredol, gyda’r sector statudol a’r sector wirfoddol yn cydweithio i wella bywydau plant mewn teuluoedd mabwysiadol yn ogystal â phobl eraill y mae mabwysiadu wedi effeithio arnynt. Cynrychiolir yr holl randdeiliaid allweddol ar y Bwrdd Llywodraethu ar y Cyd sy'n cyfarfod bedair gwaith y flwyddyn.

Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus wedi’i addysgu i lefel gradd neu gymhwyster proffesiynol cyfwerth, ac yn meddu ar wybodaeth a phrofiad o oruchwylio’r gwaith o ddarparu gwasanaethau mabwysiadu ar lefel uwch. Bydd y person llwyddiannus yn gweithio gyda'r Cyfarwyddwr a'r Cyd-gadeirydd arall (aelod o'r awdurdod lleol) i sicrhau bod y Bwrdd Llywodraethu ar y Cyd yn cyflawni ei swyddogaethau yn ogystal â chyflawni rolau cynrychioliadol eraill ar gyfer y GMC a mynychu cyfarfodydd eraill.

Bydd y penodiad am gyfnod penodol o dair blynedd gyda'r opsiwn i ymestyn am gyfnod o dair blynedd arall. Bydd y tâl yn £695 fesul cyfarfod y Bwrdd / diwrnod gan gynnwys paratoi cofnodion a’u gwirio ar ôl y cyfarfod. Telir y dyletswyddau a'r tasgau eraill ar gyfradd pro-rata sy'n gysylltiedig â'r gyfradd ddyddiol hon.
