The post-holder will work within Action for Children's Staffordshire Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high-quality, outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and behavioural difficulties.

The training and service experience will equip the post holder with the necessary knowledge, attitude, and capabilities to operate effectively within the wider service.

The post holder will attend all university based taught and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified within the agreed curriculum and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.

The study days take place at The University of Northampton. The successful candidates will attend university approximately 3-4 days per week for the first 2-3 months with this reducing to approximately 2 days after this. The successful candidates will need to be able to travel to the University of Northampton. Travel costs from Staffordshire Service bases will be covered.

By applying close case management and supervision, escalate cases where the level of need becomes beyond scope, or more severe ensuring adherence to other relevant elements of service delivery.
Applying appropriate interventions that are outcome focused and evidence based.
Let's talk about you.

Psychology or Health/Social Care/Youth related undergraduate degree is desirable.
Ability to study at undergraduate level.
Experience of working with children and/or young people.
Knowledge of safeguarding.
Knowledge and understand of the issues faced by young people with mild to moderate mental health problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organisational and self-management skills.
Regard for others and respect for individual rights of autonomy and confidentiality.
Ability to be self-reflective in own personal and professional.
Ability to be flexible to the needs of the service, including regular evening work.
Ability to travel to The University of Northampton and willingness to study.
