This webinar will show the support provided to Newly Qualified Social Workers and the promotion of post-ASYE career pathways through Continuing Professional Learning.

Since qualifying as a Social Worker in 2015, Abbi has completed Stages 1 and 2 of the Practice Educator Professional Standards for Social Work (PEPS). Within her role, Abbi works alongside Bexley’s ASYE Lead in supporting students, Practice Educators and Newly Qualified Social Workers completing their ASYE year. The role includes promoting continuous professional learning by providing mentoring, coaching and facilitating group supervision/ casework reflection sessions and developing creative ways to deliver learning.

Jo’s principal accountabilities in supporting and developing NQSWs as the Academy’s ASYE Lead include auditing and quality assuring both the implementation and the consistency of the ASYE Process across Adult Social Care and recommending improvements to meet best practice standards. Jo’s interest in supporting the learning and development of others has grown throughout her career, and Jo completed an MA in Advanced Social Work (Practice Education) at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2018.
