Developing critically reflective practice
About this event
This event has now expired
In higher education and professional practice, reflective practice is often reduced to keeping a reflective log or diary. This has unfortunately led to confusion about what reflective practice really involves.
This webinar explores the broader meaning of reflective practice and explains that there is much more to it than logs or diaries, although they can have their part to play. It also argues the case for a more critical and questioning approach to reflective practice and highlights the dangers associated with non-reflective approaches to practice, including management practice.
Neil Thompson and Sue Thompson are the authors of the best-selling book The Critically Reflective Practitioner (3rd edn, Bloomsbury, 2023).
The remaining monthly webinars in the 'Reflect, Learn, Thrive: Monthly pathways to professional excellence' series will cover the following topics:
Developing Anti-discriminatory Practice
Developing an Effective Team
Boosting Your Career
Managing Conflict
