Rural social work: what is it and why is it unique?

About this event

This event has now expired

Colin Turbett, author of the Iriss Insight, Rural social work in Scotland; and Jane Pye, Senior Teaching Associate of Social Work at the University of Lancaster, outline what rural social work is and what makes it unique.

These presentations were given at a webinar held in December 2020, to provide an opportunity to discuss the unique potential of rural social work, the opportunities it brings, and just why it is worthy of celebration.

It takes into account issues arising from the pandemic, and provides an opportunity to revisit the presentations to the Celebrating Rural Social Work conference in March 2020.
