What is the job role?

There are 3 key areas of skill essential to this role:

Day to Day Carer – Help children maintain their daily routines in a safe, supportive environment where they can flourish.

Relationship Builder – ongoing support through positive relationships and promoting the development of meaningful interaction, guided by the values of; child-centred care, respect, dignity, good parenting, independence, fulfilment, and partnership.

Educator – Share information with children in an accessible way, empowering them to make informed choices about their care and future.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Special Notes

-Working Patterns & Posts: We are recruiting for 37, hr pw and Relief posts.
-Applications: as part of the process, you will need to provide us with your full work history since leaving school and identify any gaps in employment to meet the requirements of Schedule 2 of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
-Interview dates: This is a rolling 3-month advert; interviews will be scheduled at regular intervals.
-Right to Work: all candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
