Compassionate working with parents in safeguarding
About this event
This event has now expired
Join ParentAssess for an insightful webinar exploring compassionate and effective approaches to working with parents within safeguarding practice.
Recognised as one of the most established parenting assessment frameworks in the country, ParentAssess provides comprehensive training and practical guidance for professionals involved in supporting and assessing parents.
During the webinar, attendees will explore ways to improve practice when working with parents; whether this is in a child protection, child in need or parenting assessment capacity. The session will examine the importance of using a trauma-responsive and trauma-informed approach, and why this is essential in supporting meaningful engagement and positive outcomes for families.
The webinar will also provide an introduction to the ParentAssess assessment framework and how the course encourages parents to engage, learn, and make positive changes. In addition, attendees will be introduced to some tools and activities designed to improve engagement and interaction with parents to ‘show us’ rather than ‘tell us’ areas of difficulty or need, these can be included in any form of direct work or assessment stage with parents.
