Dr Neil Thompson

What does it mean to be a professional
About this event
This event has now expired
Traditional professionalism has long been criticised for being elitist and incompatible with a more egalitarian approach to practice. This webinar presents a more acceptable approach in the form of authentic professionalism – that is, a more participative form of professionalism based on empowerment and partnership working, rather than on a ‘we know best’ mentality or culture that can create unnecessary distance and alienate people.
Neil Thompson has been arguing the case for the development of authentic professionalism for many years.
