Specialist parenting assessments – good practice foundations
About this event
This event has now expired
Join ParentAssess for an informative webinar exploring specialist parenting assessments and developing best practice when supporting parents.
Recognised as the most established parenting assessment frameworks in the country, ParentAssess provides comprehensive training and practical guidance for professionals involved in supporting and assessing parents.
During the webinar, attendees will gain an understanding of the specialist parenting assessments framework and why some parents may require this approach. The session will also explore effective ways of working with vulnerability and a variety of different parent needs, alongside an overview of learning difficulties and neurodiversity and the impact these may have on parenting.
The webinar will further examine what case law, legislation, and practice frameworks say about how parents should be assessed and supported. It will also highlight the importance of ensuring practice remains individualised, reflective, and responsive to each parent’s specific needs and focus on 'working with' parents rather than 'doing to' them.
